"The Alberta Electoral Commission has announced the approval of a civil petition aimed at putting the issue of the possibility of secession from Canada to a referendum of Albertans," the material says.

Now the initiators of the petition from the Alberta Prosperity Project organization must choose a financial director. It is specified that then they will have only four months to collect almost 178 thousand signatures in support of the referendum.
