- About 40 billion rubles will be allocated for the Lena Bridge from the federal budget
In Yakutia, the construction of a bridge across the Lena River is in full swing. The first protective structure was installed this year. In 2026, it is planned to install two more similar structures, erect the supports and superstructures of the overpass and begin work in the riverbed.
This, according to IA YakutiaMedia, was told by the head of the republic, Aisen Nikolaev, during his annual address to the State Assembly. According to him, the efforts of the authorities to improve the transport accessibility of a large territory of the republic and integration into the federal transport system are continuing.
So, on the right bank of the Lena River, the foundations for the pillars are being prepared. The first waterproof structure was assembled on the left bank in order to install the bridge supports in the riverbed. This technology is being used for the first time in Russian bridge construction.
In total, about 18 billion rubles have already been invested in the project. Of these, 4.3 billion rubles are the investor's funds. Over the next three years, more than 40 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget. The republican government should provide co-financing from the regional budget.
Earlier, the chairman of the Government of Yakutia said that in 2026 the main event would be the launching of two cofferdams. The technology will be used in Russia for the first time. After that, the construction of the pillars will enter a more active phase, and the first spans of the bridge will appear.
The Lena River bridge will run from the village of Staraya Tabaga to the village of Khaptagai in Megino-Kangalassky district. Thanks to him, a transport and logistics hub will be created in Yakutsk, where federal routes will converge: river, aviation and railway, as well as federal highways Vilyu, Kolyma and Lena. In the future, the ferry will help create an international transport corridor between Russia and the Asia–Pacific region.
