UK opened a case on bribery during construction work in Novorossiysk
Dmitry Taksidi, a former deputy branch of the Novorossiysk construction company, was arrested in a case of bribery under a construction contract, during which the damage to the Russian Defense Ministry amounted to more than 170 million rubles. As reported on December 23 in the Main Military Investigation Department (GVSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, a criminal case has been opened.
A case of abuse of official authority in the execution of a state defense order and receiving a particularly large bribe is being investigated against the defendant (paragraphs "b" of Part 2 of Article 285.4 and Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to the investigation, in 2021, the state customer and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Main Directorate of Special Construction entered into a multi-million dollar subcontract agreement to complete work in Novorossiysk. Taxidi supervised their implementation. In 2021-2022, he received a bribe from a representative of a subcontractor for patronage during the performance of work.
"As a result of the crime of the Russian Ministry of Defense, damage in the amount of over 170 million rubles was caused. At the request of the military investigator, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for Taksidi," the department's Telegram channel says.
Earlier, on December 12, Sergei Trotsenko, a former manager of a state-owned enterprise in the Kaliningrad Region, was arrested in connection with receiving bribes while fulfilling a state defense order. Former employees of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Main Military Construction Directorate for Special Facilities" Dmitry Surtukov and Trotsenko in 2020-2023 received a bribe of more than 12 million rubles for patronage during the fulfillment of a state defense order in the Kaliningrad region worth over 230 million rubles.
