The 64-year-old actor, artistic director of the St. Petersburg Drama Theater "Mansion" was diagnosed with cancer. This was announced on December 22 by his colleague, actor Sergey Zhigunov.

"Dear viewers, friends and colleagues, we have a problem. The artistic director of the theater, Dmitry Podnozov, was diagnosed with lung cancer with brain metastases," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
