Moose began to return to the Nikishinsky Nature Reserve after the fire
Moose began to return to the Nikishinsky Wildlife Sanctuary in Transbaikalia, which was severely damaged during a forest fire last summer. This is reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources.
During the raid, inspectors filmed three individuals, writes the ChitaMedia news agency. The animals grazed peacefully in the floodplain of the river, despite the deep snow.
"I am glad that after the catastrophic forest fire this summer, the animals began to return to their former places. Nature heals its wounds quickly," said the directorate of the protected area.
Earlier it was reported that a new version of the Red Book of Animals was released in Transbaikalia. The work on the book was carried out for five years.
