For the first time, a New Year's music festival is taking place at the main concert venue in southern Russia, Sirius. During the holidays, world masterpieces performed by famous artists will be performed on the stage. Classical, jazz, opera and ballet will be presented on a moving stage with unique acoustics. The soloist of the first evening was a famous cellist. This became known on December 22.

"This concert hall has become a platform where you can hear what Sirius has achieved in the field of music, what he has achieved," said Sergey Roldugin, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg House of Music.

The festival is taking place in a new concert hall, which has been under construction since 2020. Leading performers of academic music will perform here, and the event gathers artists and groups from all over the country, creating a dialogue of generations and genres.

"We have actually ceased to be some kind of resort forum and turned into a federal territory, a federal platform, if you will, an environment for the development of science," said Elena Shmeleva, Chairman of the Council of the Sirius Federal Territory, head of the Talent and Success Foundation.

About 800 gifted schoolchildren from all over Russia study at the Sirius Educational Center every month. The programs are designed for the future, and the teachers are not only graduates of pedagogical universities.

"Here you will see a lot of new things and, in principle, you will learn all the rules of music," said Arseniy Shtandenko, a participant in the educational program.

The territory also hosts one of the youngest universities in the country, where scientists study issues from the genetics of centenarians to climate change.

"I'm afraid there are few places like this anywhere in our country, and even abroad," said Andrei Manakhov, a leading researcher in the field of Genetics.

Scientists return here from abroad for work.

"After that, I received a mega—grant, which is such a significant amount of funding, which was aimed at bringing Russian scientists home to Russia, and it turned out to be really effective," said Andrey Zvyagin, head of the research group.

Conditions have been created on the federal territory for achievements in science, creativity and sports. In the coming years, the presidential lyceum will open here with a kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools, and the park will become accessible to everyone with running and cycling tracks.

Earlier, on December 18, it was reported that as part of the "Journey to Christmas" festival, which takes place as part of the "Winter in Moscow" project, Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden visited the G. I. Rossolimo special Family Center. A festive event was organized for the students of the center with a theatrical performance, games and the presentation of individual gifts.
