The auto expert mentioned the advantages of leasing hubs over private sales
One of the factors contributing to the growing interest in the appearance of slaves for the sale of supported cars in 2026 was the situation on the secondary market. In 11 months of 2025, 5.66 million used cars were sold in Russia, the highest figure in the entire history of observations. In these conditions, specialized hubs for the sale of leasing equipment are considered as a logical development of the market. Alexey Ivanov, the owner of the ALLIANCE TRUCKS commercial vehicle dealership network, told Izvestia on December 22.
"Light commercial vehicles and popular passenger car brands — Lada, Geely, Haval, Changan - will be in the greatest demand. These are 1-3-year-old cars that were actively used in taxis and delivery services. The cargo segment is of interest to small and medium-sized businesses in logistics: Chinese brands like Shacman and FAW, with a discount of 30-40%, are becoming an affordable alternative to new cars, whose prices have increased significantly. An important point is that leasing companies guarantee the legal purity of transactions, which distinguishes them from private sellers," the expert explained.
According to him, the key advantage of leasing hubs remains the legal transparency of transactions. The cars were in commercial operation and serviced according to the regulations, and they undergo pre-sale preparation before sale. The standardized display allows the buyer to inspect and compare dozens of cars in one visit, which fundamentally distinguishes this format from private ads.
"Competition with traditional channels is inevitable, but hubs will occupy their niche. Car dealerships work with new and relatively fresh cars, and private ads attract those who are willing to take risks for a lower price. The hubs offer a compromise: the price is lower than the salon price due to discounts, but higher than that of private companies, but with legal guarantees and pre—sale preparation," Ivanov said.
He noted that the development of leasing hubs will make it possible to redistribute some of the demand in the secondary market and will become a stable sales channel for commercial vehicles, especially in the face of rising prices for new cars and limited supply.
On the same day, Izvestia reported that hubs for the sale of used cars with discounts of up to 40% would be opened in Russia in early 2026. Seized cars and trucks from commercial fleets, taxis and delivery services will be sold there. The amount of discounts (5-40%) will depend on the duration of the exposure and the type of equipment.
