The Russian government will study the results of the negotiations in Miami on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, which will be reported by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), and develop its position for further interaction with American and Ukrainian representatives. This was announced on December 21 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"Dmitriev reports something. But we are waiting for his return — I hope he will return on Monday and report first of all to the President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin] on the results of his negotiations," Ushakov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

It clarifies that the proposals coming from the Ukrainian delegation are rather unconstructive and unsuitable for Russia.

Dmitriev said on December 21 that negotiations with the special envoy of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, and the son-in-law of the American leader, Jared Kushner, on resolving the Ukrainian crisis were constructive.

On the same day, Yuri Pilipson, director of the second European department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, noted that Russia and the United States continue negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine "in the spirit of Alaska," while Europe is obsessed with the "big war."

Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Maxim Buyakevich, in turn, noted that Europe sets unacceptable conditions for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
