On December 21, the head of the Belgian Ministry of Defense, Theo Franken, joked about a trip to Ukraine in congratulating Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever on his birthday.

Earlier that day, Franken posted a congratulatory post on X (ex. Twitter), accompanied by words about his trip to Ukraine and a joint photo with the Prime Minister.

"There is no visit to Ukraine in the program of the Prime Minister these days, we are dealing with a joke for the prime minister's birthday," said a diplomatic source in Brussels, quoted by TASS.
