- The media reported on Navrotsky's dismantling of the negotiating table before the meeting with Zelensky
Polish President Karol Nawrocki ordered the removal of the negotiating table at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw before a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported on December 19 by the Fakt publication.
"Let us remind you that President Karol Navrotsky decided to dismantle the Round Table from the Presidential Palace. It happened on Thursday (December 18th. — Ed.)," the publication says.
It is specified that the President of Poland sent the table to the Warsaw Museum of Polish History. He described this event as the end of the post-communist era in the country.
"I would like to say with pride, and hopefully not prematurely, that today, ladies and gentlemen, post-communism in Poland is over," said Nawrocki.
Zelensky arrived in Poland on December 18 to meet with Navrotsky. During his visit, he mistakenly referred to the Polish president as "Karl" when talking to the press. The Fakt publication reported on December 16 that Zelensky suddenly made changes to his schedule for his visit to Warsaw, allocating additional time for a meeting with the speaker of the Polish Sejm, Kazimierz Chazhast.
