Frosts of up to -30 degrees were predicted in the Perm Region

Forecasters predicted a significant cold snap in the Perm Region. The temperature will drop to -30 degrees.

According to the <url> news agency, frosts are expected on December 20 with the onset of the Arctic cyclone. A very cold and dry air mass will begin to enter the region. Light snow will fall in the south-east of the Perm Region. The wind speed will be about 10 m/s.

The temperature will be 10-15 degrees below the climatic norm. In the mountains, it may cool down to -38 degrees.

Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that by the end of the second decade of December, snow covers 95% of the country's territory. The remaining 4-5% are in the Southern, North Caucasian and Central Federal Districts.
