Durov compared the future of Great Britain with the dystopia "V means vendetta"
On December 18, Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, wrote to X (ex. Twitter) that the UK authorities are going to bring the dystopian film "V means vendetta" to life.
"Twenty years ago, totalitarian Britain from "V means vendetta" seemed like a fantasy. Now, with measures such as labeling all end-to-end encryption developers as "hostile actors," this looks less like fiction and more like a government action plan. The film takes place in 2027 — it looks like Britain intends to meet the deadline," RIA Novosti quoted Durov as saying.
His message was later deleted.
Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council, said on December 11 that an increase in the number of illegal migrants in the UK could lead to the loss of the country by indigenous people. He also noted that the British have already lost their capital.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
