Vasilyeva's grandson was deceived by scammers and gave them his family savings.

The grandson of the Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, TV presenter Tatiana Vasilyeva gave family savings in the amount of 360 thousand rubles to fraudsters. Vasilyeva herself told about this on December 18 for the program on REN TV "Emergency call 112".

After arranging the delivery, the teenager received a call and was asked to dictate the SMS code, which he did. Then the scammers started calling him, convinced him that they were scammers and now the money from the parents' card will be debited to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). For the sake of persuasiveness, the false police talked to the young man via video link and intimidated him with terrible consequences.

"They said not to consult with anyone, not to tell anyone. It's about the parents, that they have to go to jail or they will be killed. Then they said: "Come on, take a video of the apartment: where, who is there, how many vases are there, where mom and dad are. Now come on, show me where the money is." He filmed everything, showed everything. And then he counted it out. "You show us how you think." He was filming, and they were watching," Vasilyeva said.

To save his parents from alleged imprisonment, the student took 360 thousand rubles and handed them over to a courier on the street, following all the instructions of the scammers. According to the actress, the scammers have not yet realized that the deception has been revealed. The police are in charge of the case.

On December 18, the press service of the Department for combating the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region warned residents of the region about a new fraudulent scheme involving electronic diaries of schoolchildren. The purpose of such calls is to lure the code out of the SMS. The law enforcement officers warned the parents and asked them to have a conversation with the children.
