- Izvestia journalist reached the final of the 2025 Young International Journalists' Competition
On December 18, the Russian International Affairs Council announced the finalists of the competition for young international journalists. Kirill Fenin, a correspondent of Izvestia News Center, became one of the nominees for the victory.
The Izvestia journalist's report on the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the DPRK was awarded in the nomination "Best Report on International Issues."
Together with Kirill Fenin, Vladimir Kulagin (Vedomosti), Igor Subbotin (Nezavisimaya Gazeta), Vladislav Shablovsky (Rossiyskaya Gazeta) and Ivan Shapkin (Eurasia Today) entered the same nomination.
The finalists were also announced in the nomination "Best Analytical Article on International Issues": Damir Islamov (journal of Comparative Politics), Yuri Mavashev (Vestnik Kavkaza), Roman Romanov (Vedomosti), Ivan Skripka (journal Analytical Notes of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Anna Sytnik (Kommersant"). Ivan Zakharov (RBC), Arina Ismagilova (Russia in Global Politics magazine), Nazar Kurbanov (Issues of Political Science magazine), Polina Penyaz (Russia and America in the 21st Century magazine), Anton Stafeichev were nominated in the nomination "The Best analytical article on International Issues by a Novice International Journalist". (the journal "Issues of National and Federal Relations"), Yaroslav Fokin ("Russia in Global Politics").
The winners of the competition will be announced during the award ceremony in 2026.
