A tourist tax for the hotel business will be introduced in four Russian cities
Starting from January 1, 2026, a tourist tax for the hotel business will be introduced in several Russian cities, which should help replenish local budgets and develop tourism infrastructure. Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Tyumen are among the cities that have decided to introduce the tax. This was reported to RIA Novosti on December 18.
"In accordance with the decision of the Kursk City Assembly, a tourist tax will be introduced in the city of Kursk from January 1, 2026," the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Kursk Region reported.
