VDNH has prepared a special project about the New Year holidays
A special project "New Year's Holidays at VDNH" has appeared on the website of the country's main exhibition. It contains information about events that will take place on the territory of the complex from December 29 to January 11, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
"VDNH traditionally offers all the opportunities to relax with family and friends. We invite Muscovites and tourists to visit family productions based on fairy tales and ice shows with famous figure skaters, choose handmade gifts at the fair, and join sports training and creative activities," said the Vice mayor.
So, on December 30, the interactive program "Visiting Santa Claus" will be held at VDNH, and on January 1, the play "The Snow Queen. The story of Kai and Gerda", and on January 4 — the concert "Winter in Prostokvashino".
From January 3 to January 10, the ballet "Swan Lake" will be shown at an ice rink with an area of over 20 thousand square meters. Among the participants are figure skaters Evgenia Plushenko, Yulia Lipnitskaya and Alyona Kostornaya.
In addition, over 30 museum and exhibition grounds will be open for citizens and tourists during the New Year holidays. Russian Russian Museum will host the exhibition "The Image of Moscow in Russian Art from the collection of the State Russian Museum" in Pavilion No. 1 on December 29 and 30 and from January 2 to January 11. Among the works presented are paintings by Apollinarius Vasnetsov, Vasily Surikov, Vasily Vereshchagin.
Every day (except December 31 and January 1), the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center will conduct guided tours, during which guests will be told how to celebrate the New Year and Christmas at the space station. From January 1 to 5, and on January 7, 9, 10 and 11, sightseeing tours of the territory will offer to get acquainted with the history of the complex, its sights and festive traditions.
From January 2 to January 11, a New Year's program with cartoon screenings, DJ performances and theatrical performances will take place on the square behind the Slovo Museum of Slavic Writing. On January 9, an educational quest "The Lost Nutcracker" will be held in Pavilion No. 61.
