The court has arrested a dog thief who killed a dog in New Moscow
The Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of Sergei Pai, accused of stealing and killing a border collie named Sima in New Moscow. This was announced on December 17 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
Earlier, a source familiar with the process said that Pai had admitted his guilt. At the same time, he stated that he had killed the dog allegedly for the sake of treating his sick daughter.
A criminal case was opened into the incident, and volunteers joined the search for the attacker. It soon became clear that Pai had already appeared in criminal reports — six years ago, activists in Stupin near Moscow came out to his family.
On November 12, the Shcherbinsky court of Moscow arrested Sergei Pai in the case of theft and brutal murder of a dog. It was noted that the defendant was near a garage box on Flotskaya Street in Shcherbinka, where he lured a dog, abducted it and fled in a car. Later, he inflicted life-threatening injuries on the animal.
About two dozen collars, knives and a half-dead dog were found in the man's car. At the same time, his wife claimed that all the finds were just thrown at them.
