An expert in jewelry fashion revealed the rules for the harmonious combination of rings

Wearing several rings at once has become a familiar stylistic device today, but such an image requires balance and thoughtfulness. Taisiya Iznova, jewelry fashion expert and SOKOLOV category director, told Izvestia on December 26 how to combine jewelry so that they look harmonious.

According to her, in the modern image, it is not the number of rings that is more important, but the overall composition on the hand. Large, smooth models and track rings look best on the thumb or index finger, designer accent jewelry on the index or middle finger, and seals are still a classic option for the little finger. Rings with large stones are increasingly worn on the index finger, which makes the image more expressive.

"The main thing is to focus on your own comfort and a sense of harmony. When the fingers are not overloaded and the movements remain free, the jewelry looks natural and gathers into a single image, rather than turning into a random set," the specialist emphasized.

She also advised not to overload the brush and leave at least one finger free. One of the simplest and most versatile options is two rings on the middle and ring fingers, at the base or on the phalanges. This technique looks natural and does not interfere with everyday life. For more complex combinations, Iznova recommends using the "triangle" rule, where the rings visually form a shape, for example by combining jewelry at the base of the index and ring fingers and a phalanx ring on the middle one.

What is the reason and will this trend continue?

In order for several rings to be perceived as a single image, the expert advises highlighting one accent, and using the rest of the jewelry as support. Complex design models with large inserts or a multi—tiered shape are best worn solo - this way they open up more brightly and do not overload the composition.

Separately, the expert noted the popularity of stacking rings, sets of rings originally designed to be worn together on one finger. Their shape and height are chosen so that they form a single silhouette, so such sets do not require additional decorations on the same hand.

"You can mix metals in one set, but it's better to limit yourself to two colors. Combinations in which rings of different shades are made in a similar style look the most harmonious, then the color difference does not look accidental, but conceived. An almost unmistakable technique is to have identical rings in two metal colors," Ivanova said.

If the image is complemented by bracelets or watches, it is important to determine in advance where the main focus will be. When there are already noticeable jewelry on the wrist, it is better to reduce the number of rings to one or two. At the same time, it is good if the metal on the fingers and on the hand echoes in color and texture — then the image looks solid and assembled.
