The Bulgarian Defense Ministry announced the receipt of the last two F-16 fighter jets from the United States.

The last two American F-16 Block 70 fighter jets have arrived in Bulgaria. This was announced on December 16 on the website of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the country.

"Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov and Admiral Emil Eftimov welcomed the last two aircraft under the first contract with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for the purchase of the F-16 Block 70 in the Republic of Bulgaria," the publication says.

It is specified that the fighters flew to the Bulgarian Graf-Ignatievo airbase.

On April 30, the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense reported that the Bulgarian Air Force had detected a malfunction in the first F-16 Block 70 fighter jet delivered from the United States. It was noted that technical problems were discovered after the plane landed.
