On December 17, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in an interview with the American TV channel Newsmax TV, announced support for the position of the American leader Donald Trump on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

"Now a lot depends on the position of Trump and the United States. The main thing is that Trump does not retreat from this position. He is a man of character, sometimes impulsive. <...> If he persistently moves in this regard, it means that there will be a result," the Belarusian BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
