US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will sue the BBC, despite the TV company's apologies for the incorrect editing of his speech in the Panorama program. This was reported on November 15 by the British TV channel Sky News.

"We will sue them. We will sue them for between a billion (£792 million) and $5 billion (£3.79 billion), probably next week," the channel quoted the head of the White House as saying.

According to Sky News, on Thursday, the BBC officially apologized to the US president for the "mistake in assessing the situation," but did not agree with the accusation of defamation.

On November 9, Trump thanked The Telegraph newspaper in his Thuth Social network for exposing the falsification of his speech about the riots in the Capitol by the BBC television channel. In addition, he called the dismissed heads of the TV channel "dishonest people who tried to stand on the scales of the presidential election."

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
