The State Duma announced a 7.6% increase in insurance pensions for 38 million Russians

About 38 million Russian citizens are expected to receive 7.6% higher pension payments in the coming year. This was announced on December 14 by Alexei Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and medium-sized enterprises, in an interview with the Parliamentary Newspaper.

According to him, starting from January 1, 2026, old-age, disability and survivor insurance pensions will be indexed. As a result, the average size of the old-age insurance pension will increase to about 27 thousand rubles, and the fixed part of the payment will reach 9 584.69 rubles.

"The cost of one pension coefficient will reach 156 rubles 76 kopecks," he said.
