Wildberries & Russ announced the purchase of the Rive Gauche retail chain
The Rive Gauche perfume and cosmetics store chain became part of RVB (United Wildberries & Russ Company). This was reported to Izvestia on December 15 by the press service of the RVB.
"During the implementation of the strategic partnership, an agreement was reached on the acquisition of Rive Gauche. The leading Russian retailer became a part of RVB (United company Wildberries & Russ). All the necessary legal parameters of the transaction have been agreed upon and entered into force," the company said.
As noted in RVB, the acquisition of Rive Gauche will allow to develop omnichannel sales, significantly expand the range of brands on the Wildberries marketplace and ensure the availability of cosmetic products to customers in many regions and countries where the service operates.
The Rive Gauche chain was founded in 1995 by spouses Pavel and Larisa Karaban. The chain's stores offer a wide range of products, mainly perfumes and cosmetics for women. Under the auspices of the brand, there are more than 250 stores throughout Russia.
On August 28, Wildberries founder Tatiana Kim topped the Forbes magazine ranking of the 20 richest women in Russia for the fourth time. Her fortune is estimated at $7.1 billion, and she ranks 34th in the country's overall list of billionaires. RVB's net profit in 2024 amounted to almost $1.3 billion.
