In Buryatia, two adults and a child were poisoned by carbon monoxide

Two adults and a child died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a private house in Ulan-Ude after a diesel generator was used for heating in an unventilated room. This was reported on December 15 on the website of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Buryatia.

"According to the investigation, on December 14, 2025, the bodies of three people with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning, including two adults and a child, were found in one of the houses located in the Cheryomushki SNT in Ulan-Ude," the publication says.

As investigators have established, the electricity supply to the house was turned off on December 12 due to non-payment, after which a diesel generator was installed for heating. The eldest son managed to pick up six children, but the parents and the youngest child remained in the building. Communication with them was interrupted, and on the night of December 14, they were found without signs of life.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened into the death under the article on causing death by negligence. Investigative actions and examinations are being carried out.

In mid-November, four people died from carbon monoxide poisoning in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region. The deceased were two boys and two girls aged from 22 to 27 years.
