In St. Petersburg, a schoolboy attacked a math teacher with a knife, striking her at least three times. Investigators have opened a criminal case on attempted murder, and the police are clarifying the motive for the incident. The incident occurred at school No. 191, where emergency services arrived in the morning.A 15-year-old student attacked a 29-year-old math teacher. His mother works as a teacher at the same school. The student stabbed the teacher at least three times, after which he tried to commit suicide, but this was prevented by police officers.
According to media reports, the teenager came before classes to retake a test. When the teacher turned away, he stabbed her several times in the back and chest. The woman is now hospitalized.
The police clarified that the cause of the conflict could be an unsatisfactory assessment. At the same time, the structures continue to check the circumstances of the incident.
The investigators opened a criminal case under Part 3 of art. 30, part 1 of art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder"). Law enforcement officers are conducting an inspection of the scene, interviewing teachers, classmates and school staff. An analysis of the circumstances of the conflict is underway and verification of compliance with security measures in the institution.

The teenager's father told the 78 TV channel that his son had not previously shown a tendency to aggression or an interest in weapons. He noted that he has been living separately from his family for more than a year and a half and knows little about the situations in the house, but called the relationship between the mother and the teenager "warm, always been warm." According to him, the boy is fond of sports, loves chess, checkers and football, but has never shown interest in dangerous subjects.
At the school itself, the TV channel was informed that the teenager was passing through a metal detector at the entrance — the device worked, but the student was not searched. Svetlana Babak, the director of the educational institution, stressed that the rest of the students were not injured, and lessons were continuing at school. Students are also provided with psychological assistance after the incident.
