The liberation of the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhia region made it possible to take control of a large enemy defense center with an area of more than 15 square kilometers. Details about the course of the fighting for the village on Monday, December 15, were told by servicemen of the assault units of the Armed Forces of Russia.

"We entered the forest belts, cleared the dugouts, and advanced towards Varvarovka. If we know that there is an opponent there, we suggest that he surrender initially. A lot of FPV drones, "Baba Yaga" were actively used. During the day, 12 Bab-Yags were shot down on this task. The enemy doesn't want to shoot, he's afraid," recalls the stormtrooper with the call sign Gorely.

He noted it. that the fighters were tasked with occupying a populated area and gaining a foothold there. The success made it possible to block the road and limit the supply of weapons and supplies that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) received through this route.

Due to the constant use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by the enemy, the military waited for suitable weather conditions. The personnel of the Russian Armed Forces entered the settlement in small groups.

"We worked in small groups — twos and threes, and we overcame open areas one at a time. The enemy snapped, but did not expect us to enter. It was foggy. In the morning we entered the settlement and began to consolidate," said the commander of the assault group with the call sign Krasava.

It is noted that the liberation of the settlement improved the tactical position of the Vostok group of forces and helped create conditions for the further advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhia region.
