The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the liberation of the village of Varvarovka

Units of the Vostok group liberated the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhia region. Footage of the liberation on December 14 is published by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"During active hostilities, the guards scouts of the Vostok group broke through the enemy's defenses east of the Gaichur River and liberated the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhia region," the ministry said in a statement.

As a result of the defense breakthrough east of the Gaichur River, a significant number of manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), more than 12 pieces of equipment and over 70 heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type were destroyed.

The liberation of Varvarovka made it possible to complete the cleansing of the eastern bank of the river, improving the tactical position of the group and creating conditions for further offensive in this direction.

The liberation of the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhia region became known earlier that day. According to the Ministry of Defense, during the fighting, the manpower and equipment of two assault brigades, two regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and a defense brigade were defeated in the areas of seven settlements. The enemy's losses amounted to over 300 military personnel, an armored combat vehicle, five vehicles and an electronic warfare station.
