The Air Defense Forces intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying towards Moscow. This was announced on December 14 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in the MAX messenger.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed a UAV flying to Moscow," he said.

Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site.
