The military personnel of the North group of forces pushed back the units of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the Kursk border area deep into the Sumy region. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on December 14.

"A little bit about what is called weather in the army language. There are much fewer enemy drones in the sky in some areas of the Kursk frontier front. And some air guard posts had to be abandoned and moved on. This is all the result of the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to push the UAV operators much deeper into the Sumy region," said Denis Kulaga, a correspondent for Izvestia.

One of the Russian military personnel noted that the use of drones has changed the face of modern warfare. In conditions of mass use of drones, personnel try to minimize their movements, and if necessary, they do it as covertly as possible.

To counter enemy UAVs, fighters use electronic warfare (EW) equipment.

"Over the past week, an electronic warfare repeater was forcibly planted, which allows the enemy to fly much further than an FPV drone can," said a soldier with the call sign Fighter.

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov held a regular meeting with military correspondents on Saturday, December 13, during which the development of unmanned systems and modernization of weapons were discussed. In addition, during the event, issues of logistical support for units in the military training area, food supplies for military personnel of groups of troops, including assault units, as well as the need for troops for new individual food rations designed for delivery by FPV drones were discussed.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
