A Russian woman told about her detention in France on suspicion of espionage
Anna Novikova, a Russian woman detained in France on suspicion of espionage, told how police officers with machine guns burst into her room early in the morning, took her out with a bag over her head and interrogated her for several hours for several days. This was reported by the Russian media on December 13.
It is specified that the Parisien newspaper reported on the detention of three members of the SOS Donbass association for assistance to residents of Donbass, including Russian citizen Anna Novikova, on November 25. Together with her, Frenchman Vincent P. and Ukrainian citizen Vyacheslav P. were detained.
"I was arrested on November 17th. At 6:15 a.m., they broke in with machine guns, broke down the door, put it on the floor, and handcuffed it. I almost fainted.… There were about ten of them in total. The apartment was searched, all documents, phone and computer were confiscated. They were taken out for interrogation in handcuffs and a hat on their head. To the question "Why the hood?" They answered: "For your safety." It's hard to believe, of course," Novikova told RIA Novosti.
