The court arrested an employee of the military construction complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for bribery

Sergei Trotsenko, a former manager of a state-owned enterprise in the Kaliningrad Region, has been arrested in a case of accepting bribes while fulfilling a state defense order. This was reported on December 12 in the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"At the request of military investigator Trotsenko, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention," the department's Telegram channel reported.

The criminal case is being investigated against former employees of the FSUE "Main Military Construction Directorate for Special Facilities" Dmitry Surtukov and Sergey Trotsenko. According to investigators, in 2020-2023, they received a bribe in the amount of more than 12 million rubles for patronage during the fulfillment of a state defense order in the Kaliningrad region worth more than 230 million rubles.

Surtukov was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. It is noted that the bribe giver independently reported the crime, the issue of his criminal prosecution will be resolved later.

They are suspected of taking bribes and imposing unjust sentences.

On the same day, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation extended for six months the arrest of former Sochi mayor Alexei Kopaigorodsky and his wife Yanina in a corruption case. In addition to charges of receiving four particularly large bribes and mediation in bribery, Kopaygorodsky is charged with committing three crimes under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code ("Legalization of funds or other property obtained by criminal means"). The amount of funds legalized by them exceeds 104 million rubles. The husband and wife do not admit their guilt.
