The Hero's Way campaign was held in the north of Moscow

In the Angarsk Ponds Park, as part of the Hero's Path campaign, an exhibition dedicated to the participants of the special military operation (SVO) was organized, master classes and sports competitions were held. The events were held at three venues — in the mobile pavilion, next to the ice rink and in the ice arena, the press service of the Prefecture of the Northern Administrative District of Moscow reported.

The visitors were greeted by the Hero of Russia, Colonel Vladimir Zakharov. He shared stories from his life and said parting words to the children. On one of the sites, decorated inside in the form of a field tent, a photo exhibition dedicated to the participants of the SVO was organized. Among them is Alexander Fetisov, a resident of the Vostochnoye Degunino district. In 2023, he went to the Free defense zone as a volunteer, served in intelligence and was demobilized this year due to injury with the rank of Guard junior sergeant.

Workshops were also held here, where those interested learned how to weave camouflage nets and make trench candles. Anyone could write a letter to a soldier and fold it into a front-line triangle. In total, about 100 people took part in the classes. Nets, candles, and letters will be sent to the front.

At the same time as the master classes, the sports part of the action took place next to the rink. Several teams were assembled from the visitors. The participants stormed the "Steel Reservation" obstacle course and fought on the ice rink in the "Ray of Victory" laser tag tournament. The winners of the competition received certificates from the Winter in Moscow Festival.

Winter in Moscow is an urban project that includes cultural, educational, and sporting events. Special attention is paid to the support of participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families, as well as those who provide assistance to the front. The "Hero's Way" campaign is also planned to be held at other venues in the north of Moscow in February.
