Over the past 24 hours, a large prominence has detached from the Sun. This was announced on December 12 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"It took about 24 hours for the star to completely unravel the completely insane tangle of woven matter and magnetic field formed at the edge of the Sun," the IKI RAS Telegram channel wrote.
