The Bank of Russia intends to challenge the EC's decision on the use of Russian assets

The Bank of Russia intends to challenge the decision of the European Commission on the use of frozen assets of the Russian Federation. The corresponding statement was published on the regulator's website on December 12.

"The mechanisms of direct or indirect use of the assets of the Bank of Russia, as well as any other forms of uncoordinated use of the assets of the Bank of Russia, are illegal, contrary to international law, including violating the principles of sovereign immunity of assets," the publication says.
