A native of the Orel region was sentenced to 3.5 years for justifying terrorism.

The Second Western District Military Court sentenced a native of the Orel region to three years and six months in prison for justifying terrorism. This was announced on December 11 by the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the region.

The man was found guilty under clause "b" of Part 2 of Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls to carry out activities directed against the security of the state") and Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public justification and propaganda of terrorism").
