Finland allowed the creation of a special economic zone on the border with Russia
A special economic zone (SEZ) may be created in the south-east of Finland near the city of Imatra near the border with the Russian Federation. This was announced on December 10 by Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.
"In my opinion, because of this [the difficult economic situation in the south-east of the country], we need to be ready to try something new. The creation of a special economic zone could be such a [solution]," Yle TV and radio company reports him as saying.
