In the Murmansk region, two men were convicted of illegal salmon fishing. A boat was seized from the Northerners.

According to the Bi-Port news agency, in June 2025, the defendants were fishing in the waters of the Kola Bay in the Kola District. Using a net and an inflatable boat, they caught four salmon without having a fishing permit. The damage to aquatic biological resources was estimated at 109.4 thousand rubles.

Each fisherman was ordered to pay a fine, the total amount will be 450 thousand rubles. The verdict has not entered into legal force.

In the Khabarovsk Territory, the materials of two criminal cases on illegal extraction of chum salmon were submitted to the court. A resident of the village of Achan caught eight individuals during spawning on the Amur River. And in Amursk, a man caught 10 individuals of chum salmon.
