South Korea has protested to Russia and China over the alleged entry of their planes into the South Korean air defense identification zone during a joint patrol. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency on December 10.

"Director of the Department of International Policy Lee Kwang-seok this morning expressed a serious protest to the military attaches of China and Russia stationed in South Korea in connection with the entry of Chinese and Russian aircraft into the South Korean air defense identification zone (KADIZ) yesterday (December 9)," the material says.

Lee Kwang-seok added that the South Korean military will continue to respond to the actions of neighboring countries' aviation.

Russian and Chinese aircraft conducted patrols in the Asia-Pacific region on December 9. The joint flight lasted about eight hours. Fighter cover was provided by the Russian Su-30SM and Su-35S, as well as the Chinese Jian-16. The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that all actions were carried out in strict accordance with international law without violating air borders.
