Famous figure skaters will present ice shows as part of the Winter in Moscow
Famous figure skaters Tatiana Navka, Pyotr Chernyshev, and Evgeny Plushenko will present ice shows as part of the Winter in Moscow project. This was told by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"By the end of winter, more than 170 ice performances are planned for the whole family. The program includes performances of "The Nutcracker", "Twelve Months", "Swan Lake" and others. They can be viewed at VDNH and the Moscow Seasons venues in different parts of the city," Sergunina said.
Productions based on fairy tales and ballets will begin to be shown on December 13, in particular, at the festival skating rinks on Revolution Square, Aviatsionnaya, Alma-Ata, Svyatoozerskaya, Sukhonskaya, Pererva, Teply Stan and Uralskaya streets, on Koptevsky Boulevard and in the Olympic Village.
Navka and Chernyshev have prepared such shows as "Swan Lake", "Snow White", "December 32", "Masha and the Bear", "The Secret of the Land of Musical Dreams" and "Twelve Months" this season.
The figure skaters of the Plushenko team will present the ballet on ice "Swan Lake". The roles in it will be played by Olympic champion Yulia Lipnitskaya and European champion Alyona Kostornaya. The screenings will begin on January 3 at the VDNKh skating rink. From January 18, the performance will be available at the festival site on Teply Stan Street. A gala concert will be held here on February 23.
The Nutcracker play is traditionally very popular: on December 13 it will be presented on Teply Stan Street, on December 20 on Sukhonskaya Street, on December 27 on Pererva Street, on December 30 on Alma—Ata Street, and on December 31 and January 1 on Revolution Square.
To watch the ice shows at VDNKH, you need to purchase a ticket to the skating rink. The cost of attending performances on Revolution Square is 100 rubles, admission is free at other venues of the Moscow Seasons.
