On December 13, Moscow will host the Mash on the Hill winter tubing festival in the park of the 50th anniversary of October: participants will roll down the slide on homemade "cheesecakes", compete for prizes and enjoy winter activities.

Mash on the Hill is an annual festival where participants compete in the speed of descent from the hill on "cheesecakes". For the first time, it was held in St. Petersburg and aroused great interest. The participants decorate their own tubes so that they are not only beautiful, but also as memorable as possible. The program includes several nominations with valuable prizes for the winners.

Interactive zones will also be available: Mash "Tools for creating news" — immersion in the work of a journalist, quests, creativity and language challenges; Mash-room "Fishing" — a family recreation area with a "media catch" and prizes; Mash at the Sosuli Sink — a ring competition for children and adults, a relaxation area with bag chairs. In addition, the organizers have prepared express contests, photo zones, a DJ set and morning exercises with Anastasia Tukmacheva (ambassador of the Healthy Fatherland Movement, the largest sports blogger, ultramarathoner, winner of Russia's first extreme triathlon).

"Mash's DNA is to be closer to its audience, to please people, to create emotions and new traditions. We don't limit ourselves to news — we make live urban events that unite different generations. Mash on the Hill is one of these projects. Interactive events, contests, races and the very Mash-vibe are waiting for guests: when it's fun, noisy, interesting and family-friendly," says Nadezhda Gladchenko, CEO of Mash.

The capital's parks are one of the main venues for events of national and international scale, and they often become centers of attraction not only for local residents, but for all Muscovites. The winter festival "Mash on the Hill" continues this tradition.

"It is important for us that Moscow's parks remain spaces where you want to return again and again. Mash on the Hill is an excellent example of how partner projects help unlock the potential of park areas and form new traditions of active winter recreation. Winter festivals are becoming an important part of the year-round event program of Moscow parks. Citizens have even more reasons to come to the park with their whole family, discover new activities, participate in creative initiatives and feel a real urban drive. We are pleased to support initiatives that unite generations and make our parks live stages for big events," says Yulia Adigamova, General Director of ANO Parks Development.

Admission to the festival is free — everyone can come to watch the races, visit the interactive zones, participate in morning exercises and contests. After the completion of the official program, guests will be able to freely tube ride. All the initiatives were created in order to bring together teams, friends, colleagues, and families and introduce a new tradition into the life of the capital.

"Mash has always been built around the audience — we think of formats that not only inform, but also involve people, give emotion and create new traditions. Mash on the Hill is a vivid example of this approach: in St. Petersburg, the festival received a huge response, and we saw that it was important for people not only to read us, but also to meet offline, create, compete, and spend time together. Therefore, we decided to make the project an annual event and expand it to Moscow. This is a story about creativity, about live communication and about the fact that media can be something more than a news feed - a point of attraction for families, friends and the whole city," explained Maxim Iksanov, CEO of News Media Holding.
