Almost 180 Christmas markets will open in the Moscow region
It is planned to open 178 Christmas markets in the Moscow Region this year. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the region on Tuesday, December 9.
"Trees will be on sale, including from suppliers from the Moscow and Vladimir regions, as well as the Perm Region. Traditional fir lapniki, compositions in baskets or planters and other options for creating a festive mood will also be presented at the venues," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

Igor Sorokin, Deputy head of the Moscow City Fire and Rescue Service, told on December 8 how to safely decorate a Christmas tree.
According to him, a few simple rules must be followed to ensure safety when installing a Christmas tree. The main symbol of the holiday should stand on a stable foundation, away from heaters, batteries and open flames. The fir tree should not clutter the exits from the room, and its branches should not touch the walls, curtains or ceiling. Special attention should be paid in homes where there are children or pets, as they may accidentally knock over a tree.
Earlier, on December 4, Ksenia Kuznetsova, product director of the interior company Mr.Doors, said that it is not worth using an excessive amount of decorations before the New Year holidays, as this makes the interior untidy.
At the same time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Moscow advised equipping a room with a Christmas tree with primary fire extinguishing equipment, RT reports.
The agency recommended choosing a flat place for the installation of the Christmas tree away from heaters, fireplaces, stoves and electric appliances with heating, writes "Moscow 24".
