Hyacinth-B artillery crews disrupted the formation of the AFU fortified area in Gulyai-Pole

Hyacinth-B artillery crews of the Vostok group of forces struck and destroyed the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the city of Gulyai-Pole, Zaporizhia region, as a result of which the formation of a fortified area in the settlement was disrupted. This was announced on December 9 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Working in conjunction with reconnaissance drones, the gunners consistently struck at the identified targets. Several strongholds were completely destroyed, and an attempt to form a fortified area was thwarted, which created conditions for the advance of assault groups within the city limits," the ministry said.

It is noted that attempts by the enemy to strengthen their positions were detected during aerial reconnaissance using drones.

"From the first gun, we practice five or six shots at the target, after which we immediately go to the next one. The gunner and two loaders are already there, the gun is deployed, it remains only to quickly aim and continue working at the same point. After three shots, we shift again," said the deputy platoon commander with the call sign Tuman.

As a result of the constant fire exposure, the enemy is deprived of the opportunity to organize stable defense areas and deploy personnel.

Russian units are liberating territories and cutting off transport links to the north and northeast of the city.

Earlier, on December 6, the control point of the 15th border detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine was liquidated in the Sumy region. Ukrainian resources confirm the presence of dead and wounded, including representatives of the command staff. In addition, almost all vehicles located on the site were destroyed.

Igor Kimakovsky, an adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), said on November 17 that the AFU militant group in Gulyai-Pole was in a fire bag. He also added that groups of the 144th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to escape from positions in the city.

Back in 2021, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, wished the constitution of Ukraine not to repeat the fate of the "declaration" of the Gulyai-Pole Republic.
