MP Govyrin announced the indexation of military pensions twice in 2026

In Russia, military pensions will be increased twice in 2026 — in January and October. This was announced on December 9 by State Duma Deputy Alexei Govyrin.

According to him, since the beginning of the year, the coefficient of monetary allowance used in calculating payments will increase to 93.59%, and in the autumn additional clarification will be carried out within the budget.

"An additional increase is expected in October, which will take place as a clarification within the budget," the parliamentarian told RIA Novosti.

Govyrin recalled that the amount of military pensions depends on the monetary allowance of military personnel. The calculation includes salary by military position, salary by rank and superannuation.

Pension indexation from January 1 and payday: important news for pensioners

The cost of one pension coefficient will also be increased.

Earlier, on December 7, it was reported that starting from April 1, social pensions in Russia will increase by 6.8%. The indexation will affect, in particular, children with disabilities, people with disabilities since childhood, as well as citizens who do not have work experience to receive an insurance pension. The state pension will also be increased for privileged categories, including veterans of the siege of Leningrad and victims of radiation accidents.
