In Omsk, a 16-year-old teenager stole a car, and a few days later called a taxi and beat up a female driver, after which he hijacked the vehicle again. This was announced on December 8 by the press service of the Maryanovsky District Court of the Omsk region.
"A teenager, without a driver's license, broke into a parked VAZ-21099 car. After breaking the glass and using a screwdriver, he started the car and illegally took possession of it for trips around the area. <...> At night he called a taxi, which was driven by a female driver. Having decided to take possession of the car, the defendant <...> began striking the driver in the head and body <...> with a tourist knife," it says in the Telegram channel of the courts of the Omsk region.
It is specified that the victim actively resisted, was able to open the driver's door and leave the car. The minor drove a stolen car along one of the roads, where he got into an accident and severely damaged the car.
By the verdict of the Maryanovsky District Court of the Omsk region, the teenager was found guilty under Part 3 of Article 69 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sentencing according to the totality of crimes"), he was sentenced to 6 years and 7 months in prison with serving his sentence in an educational colony. According to the press service, the verdict has entered into force.
On August 31, the press service of the Moscow Region Prosecutor's office reported that a taxi passenger refused to pay for the fare and beat the taxi driver. He got out of the car and struck the driver several times, after which he disappeared. It is noted that the victim needed medical help.
