Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi plans to visit Russia and Belarus in the near future, where he will hold meetings with senior officials. This was announced on December 7 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai.

"Meetings with high—ranking officials of Russia and Belarus are also planned at the Foreign Ministry level in the coming weeks," Bagai was quoted as saying at a briefing by RIA Novosti.

According to him, the Iranian Foreign Minister will visit these countries and hold talks.

Earlier, on October 2, the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement between Russia and Iran entered into force. It was noted that the document defines, among other things, cooperation in the international arena, as well as close coordination within the framework of multilateral associations.

The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two countries was signed by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian on January 17, which brought bilateral relations between Moscow and Tehran to a new level. The Russian leader called the document a breakthrough, and the tasks set in the new agreement between the two countries ambitious.
