The forecaster predicted an increase in the area of snow in the Russian Federation to 92% next week.

The snow area will increase to 92% in Russia by next week. This was announced on December 7 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"Starting from Monday, night temperatures in the Volga Federal District will be negative: from -4 to -9 degrees. And the daytime temperature will drop to -2...-7 degrees, so a small snowball will fall and persist. Due to this, the area of the country covered with snow will increase slightly, by about 2% by the middle of next week compared to the current 90%," he told TASS.
