The Kremlin reacted positively to the change of course in the US National Security Strategy under US leader Donald Trump, which no longer defines Russia as a "direct threat", but, on the contrary, suggests cooperation with Moscow in the field of strategic stability. This was announced on December 7 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We consider this a positive step," he said in an interview with TASS.
