The meeting between the United States and Ukraine gave few signs of a major breakthrough in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by Bloomberg on December 5.

"There were few signs of a major breakthrough that could give new impetus to the negotiations," the material says.

The State Department noted that Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff met in Florida later this week with Ukrainian Minister of National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff General Andrei Gnatov in the hope of mediating a peace agreement. The group is expected to reconvene on Saturday for further discussions.
