In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the State Traffic Inspectorate warned drivers of responsibility if they were going to tow tubing with passengers. Drivers face criminal liability if dangerous entertainment has led to serious injury or death.

According to the <url> news agency, with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region, drivers will have to answer, even if towing tubing with a passenger does not harm the health of the rider.

Experts explain that, unlike conventional sleds, the tubing passenger does not have the ability to brake or adjust the direction of travel. The fact is that due to the deep landing, a person's feet do not reach the snow, there is no steering. According to the law of inertia, when the car turns sharply, the tubing continues to move in a straight line, which often leads to injury.

At the end of November, in the Mud of the Lipetsk region, a court sentenced a driver who was accused of causing grievous bodily harm to his friend while tubing. He was sentenced to three years in a penal colony and deprived of his driver's license for two years. The court also demanded compensation from him for moral damage and material damage in the amount exceeding 800 thousand rubles.
