Commemorative events on the occasion of the Unknown Soldier Day were held in Serbia, and representatives of the Russian Embassy in Serbia took part in the wreath-laying ceremony. This was announced on December 4 by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Wreath-laying took place in a number of settlements of the country, including the city of Chachak, which celebrated today the 81st anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders, and the city of Krusevac. <...> On this day, we pay tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers, whose names have not been preserved, but the steadfastness and courage of these unknown heroes are forever etched in history. the fraternal peoples of Russia and Serbia," the Telegram channel says.

In addition, the press service added that in addition to representatives of embassies, members of local governments, regional committees of the Union of Veterans of the People's Liberation Wars of Serbia and the Russian-Serbian Friendship Society also attended the commemorative ceremony.

On December 3, the Russian Embassy in Germany announced that flowers had been laid at the memorial to Soviet soldiers in the Tiergarten in Berlin on the occasion of Unknown Soldier Day. The event was attended by Russian Ambassador Sergey Nechaev, employees of the Russian diplomatic mission, as well as teachers and students from the embassy's school.
